Now open: HCA Florida Healthcare emergency heart in Yulee

The free-standing HCA Healthcare emergency heart in Nassau County opened March 10.

The 11,000-square-foot facility is at 462541 Florida 200 east of Interstate 95 in Yulee a few mile southwest of the Wildlight master-planned “City District.”

HCA broke floor Might 10, 2024. A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for March 31.

The middle is on a 55.28-acre website HCA Healthcare purchased from the county in July 2019 for $15.8 million.

The estimated challenge price is $32 million, HCA Florida Healthcare Chief Working Officer Tammy Razmic stated in April 2024. 

Birmingham, Alabama-based HOAR Building is the contractor. Brentwood, Tennessee-based TMPartners is the architect with the design-build workforce of Limbach Engineering of Orlando.

The ER has 10 personal rooms, one trauma bay and capabilities for CT scans, ultrasounds and X-Rays. It’s open 24 hours seven days every week. There are 65 parking areas. 

A website plan exhibits two parcels on the property put aside for future improvement.

The ER is lower than a mile west of the Baptist Nassau Crossing Emergency Room on the south aspect of Florida 200 that opened in November.

HCAFloridaHealthcare.com says it beforehand didn’t provide emergency care inside 20 miles of the middle.

“The objective of our new freestanding emergency room is to offer higher entry for sufferers needing emergency care within the Nassau County area,” stated Reed Hammond, Chief Govt Officer of HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, in a press release. “As part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the most important healthcare system in Florida, Nassau County will now be related to a variety of statewide healthcare assets beforehand not out there.”
