Roaches crawling inside an in-use microwave, grime buildup on partitions round a pizza station, and flies touchdown on a shelf with clear dishes have been among the many violations that led the state to briefly shut two South Florida eating places final week.

Any restaurant that fails a state inspection should keep closed till it passes a follow-up. For those who spot a attainable violation and want to file a grievance, contact Florida DBPR. (However please don’t contact us: The Solar Sentinel doesn’t examine eating places.)
