Alaska Airways has resumed operations following an undisclosed technical error affecting its complete system for about three hours, the corporate introduced.
The service skilled an “IT outage that resulted in a brief, system-wide floor cease for Alaska Airways and Horizon Air flights” round 8 p.m. Pacific time Sunday. The cease was lifted at 11 p.m., the Seattle-based firm stated in a social media put up.
“As we reposition our plane and crews, there’ll most certainly be residual impacts to our flights. It can take a while to get our total operations again to regular,” the put up stated.
The Federal Aviation Administration web site had confirmed a floor cease for all Alaska Airways mainline and Horizon plane, referring to an Alaska Airways subsidiary.
The Nationwide Transportation Board final month credited the crew of Alaska Airways flight 1282 with the survival of passengers when a door plug panel flew off the aircraft shortly after takeoff on Jan. 5, 2024, leaving a gap that sucked objects out of the cabin.
In September, Alaska Airways stated it grounded its flights in Seattle briefly attributable to “important disruptions” from an unspecified know-how drawback that was resolved inside hours.
